Moving from Monica to LifeWell

An open-source personal CRM for remembering the people in your life, free to self-host. Choose Monica if you want open source and your own server, and a plain record of people, conversations and reminders. Choose LifeWell if you want the hosted app today, on Android, with memories, a family tree and health records on the same people.

Last checked 2026-11-07. The full comparison is on LifeWell and Monica.

How to move across

  1. Open LifeWell and sign in.
  2. Add the people you track in Monica (people), starting with the ones you see most.
  3. Keep dates with them (calendar and appointments) and set reminders.
  4. Leave the rest in Monica until you know what you want to move. LifeWell has no import from it.

LifeWell does not keep the audio of a conversation yet: it writes down what you say. It cannot print your tree for a wall, it has no to-do list for today, and it has no iPhone app. It is not medical advice.
