Moving from Obsidian to LifeWell

A free notes app that keeps plain files on your device, with paid sync and publishing add-ons. Choose Obsidian if you want your notes as plain files on your own device, free, with encrypted sync as an option. Choose LifeWell if you want structure you did not have to design: people, a tree, memories, health and appointments, linked for you.

Last checked 2026-11-07. The full comparison is on LifeWell and Obsidian.

How to move across

  1. Open LifeWell and sign in.
  2. Add the people you track in Obsidian (people), starting with the ones you see most.
  3. Keep dates with them (calendar and appointments) and set reminders.
  4. Leave the rest in Obsidian until you know what you want to move. LifeWell has no import from it.

LifeWell does not keep the audio of a conversation yet: it writes down what you say. It cannot print your tree for a wall, it has no to-do list for today, and it has no iPhone app. It is not medical advice.
