Calendar and appointments

The calendar​

/calendar is a month view over everything dated in your record. It is one calendar rather than a medical one beside a personal one, because the week does not arrive in two halves.

Appointments​

/appointments is the same events, listed rather than gridded, and filtered to the ones that are appointments.

An appointment carries:

  • when and where it is;
  • who it is with;
  • a checklist — the questions you meant to ask, and the results you meant to bring home.

The checklist is the part that is usually written on the back of an envelope and lost between the car park and the consulting room. It stays with the appointment afterwards, so the answer sits next to the question.

Reminders​

An appointment can raise a reminder. Appointment reminders are on by default and delivered by your device — see Reminders.

What is in the export​

Calendar events export as Calendar, and their checklists as Appointment notes. Both are in every format, and the events are the dated kind — narrowing the date range on an export narrows them. See the export format.

What this is not​

There is no connection to Google Calendar, Outlook or any other external calendar. Nothing is read from one and nothing is written to one. An appointment in LifeWell is in LifeWell.
