Where this stands

The 2.x codebase carried an extension folder, and earlier versions of this documentation described installing it, using it for quick tracking, and receiving reminders through it. That documentation described something that is not shipping.

For the 3.0.0 rebuild the extension is explicitly out of scope. The folder in the repository still holds 2.x code, untouched, and none of it is part of any build. There is no listing on the Chrome Web Store or any other store.

What it is meant to be, when it happens

A small surface for the thing the main app is already built around: recording something in seconds, from wherever you already are, without opening a tab.

That is the intent rather than a specification. Nothing about the scope, the stores it would target, or the timing has been decided.

The address

This page keeps its address so that any existing link to the extension documentation lands on an honest answer rather than a 404. When there is an extension, this is where it will be described.

In the meantime

The web app runs in the same browser and does everything the extension would, one tab away.
